Wish I could be cut in fourths

Posted by andersen_js@yahoo.com on January 19, 2018 at 11:50 PM Comments comments (0)

So much has been going on, I've been bad at posting even once a week. Tonight I sent my first out of two edits for the prequel I wrote that will be in a anthologist coming out in March. It put Secrets Revealed once again on the back burner. My goal is to get it done in the next month along with two other books in the makings. I at times wish I could cut myself in fourths and do everything needing done at once. Do you feel that way at times?

Drum Roll......

I feel blessed and super excited to be one of the lucky ones picked to be in the next Craving Publishing anthology * Loyalty.

Happy Times.

More projects to do.

I've got a work load to attack. With my new book, If She Only Knew, being available on 10/31, I have to start promoting and finding new places to expose my book at.

On top of that I'm working on book #2 in the Missy Mack series. It's coming along, but still have a lot to add to the story.

Another opportunity has come up from my publishing company for a story in a different genres. I actually had a plot written down for a story they are looking for. So, that means I need to get another book started because the dead line for the book, if accepted, is 12/31. I have a lot of typing to do.

If you haven't know, here is a link for a preview of my now published book, Hidden Secrets. Go take a look and read the first few chapters.

Have a great day and hope all is going well.

Copy and paste this link if it doesn't work.

Changes are good.

Yes, I agree. This page has been a little major boring. But just to let you know, I've spent my time wisely. I said it before and I'm going to say it again... my book is going through a major overhaul and I'm feeling good about it. I'm hoping in the next month or so it will be completely done. Mistakes aren't a burden, they are a kick in the butt to make you try and do better on what your working on. Never, never give up even if it takes you longer then it would take other people. Stay strong and you'll make it too.

And to add...A new surprise will happen in book #3 that will shock Missy and may affect the rest of her life. So excited.

When to stop for good.

When do you know when to stop with your finished project/book and put it to rest? Having a very difficult time doing it.

My friend helped put this program together for a news channel in my town. Very interesting. It shows the tunnells in that are no longer in use. This is what I use in my Melissa Mack Mystery books. Though the tunnels do not go out as far as in my story, the fact that they are there is enough.

The tunnels is in the begining and runs close to 5 minutes.

Thought you'd like to see it.

Don't be Afraid to Fail

I was going through loose papers on my desk today and ran into this poem. I’m glad I did because IMO it’s true.

Don’t be afraid to Fail

You’ve failed many times,

Although you may not remember.

You fell down the first time

You tried to walk.

You almost drowned the first time

You tried to swim, didn’t you?

Did you hit the ball the first time

You swung a bat?

Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the

Most home runs,

Also strike out a lot.

R.H. Macy failed seven times

Before his store in New York caught on.

English novelist John Creasey got

753 rejection slips before he published

564 books.

Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times,

But he also hit 714 home runs.

Don’t worry about failure.

Worry about the chances you miss

When you don’t even try.

Being an author or anyother job title is not a one man road. You can't make it on your own. I want to give credit to Rachelle Gardner who is a Literary Agent. She is talented and shares ideas, help, and incites for authors. Go check out her page.

Dreaming

Posted by andersen_js@yahoo.com on February 6, 2016 at 3:45 PM Comments comments (0)

I keep dreaming about the same thing

I keep dreaming that things will change

If I could put two pieces together

Life would be made easier

My life’s been black, dirty and emotional bad

Chooses haven’t been easy to make

The pit must have a hole

Because the dirt will not stop drowning me

I guess it’s time to go.

Can’t forget the stories I’ve been told

About life’s good and bad

There’s a way to patch that hole

And start all over again.

Keep my head high

Feel the wind touch my face

Keep my head high

And see the light up ahead.

It has been right there, the good and bad

Even though I’ve been lost in my world

Guess it’s not too late

To feel the wind on my face.
